- Understand the working culture in China. By understanding the working culture, we could then compare with the working culture in Singapore. Furthermore, it would provide us with an opportunity to venture overseas to expand our businesses since we have a deeper understanding of the working culture.
- Have an idea of the financial sectors. Since finance firms usually operate in a standardized manner, it would allow us to better understand the financial sectors so that we would be more prepared for the corporate world and the financial sector. As we know, such firms are usually more confidential and uptight about their guests so it would really help us to gain some insights of the working environment.
- Increase our pool of knowledge from our current textbook knowledge. As a student, we are usually confined to only the textbook concepts which usually cause us to think within the box. Therefore, by witnessing the things that we have studied, we can put together the concepts and the reality to increase our thinking ability.

About myself
Greetings!
I'm Tan KhorLi, 18 this year. I was born and raised in Singapore, the eldest of three. I grew up in a house where education was held in high regard. I developed an interest in books since young and nurtured this interest even until today. I studied in West View Primary School for 6 years and went on to Kranji Secondary School. I graduated 4 years later and am currently taking Accountancy in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. This would be 2.5 years in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
I grew up aiming to study forensic science and until today, that dream has not died down. However, that does not mean I am not interested in my current course of study. After studying accountancy for nearly 2.5 years, I have developed interest in finance, accounting and auditing. I guess, as I grow older, I would follow my mum's footsteps and be an accountant or auditor.
Unlike most ace students, I do not have much achievements. I used to be the typical Poly student, who just aimed to pass all my modules and move on. That was before I had an interest in Accountancy. Ever since I met a lecturer who made accounting easier for me to understand, I made up my mind to give my best. From that day, I have been working towards a spot in the university.
I also took up Japanese Language when I entered Polytechnic. I had always wanted to learn Japanese but never found a suitable time and course. I just finished the 3rd module which leaves me with 3 more to complete the whole program. At the end of the 6 modules, I would have a certificate since this is part of the Diploma Plus Program.
I was also offered another Diploma Plus Program to increase my pool of knowledge. I had to complete a course with additional mathematics, microeconomics and writing. I had completed the additional mathematics and will continue with microeconomics when school reopens.
Currently, I am actively involved in 2 CCAs; Hearing Impaired Club and BA Care. I am a member of the committee of BA Care and I specialize in the admin department. As for Hearing Impaired Club, I am a member and was part of the committee who organized the Closing Ceremony which just ended in August.
I am more of the shy type but will speak up after knowing people for a longer period of time. I believe that the 9 days trip will be a very short period of time for me to open up to everyone but I will try my best to get to know as many people as possible. On a whole, people would describe me as a kind and helpful person who will lend a helping hand when needed. My friends usually look for me when they are troubled even though they know I would not be able to provide a solution to all their problems. I am also rather reliable so they can depend on me, not just for projects. I will do my best in everything so that I will not become an additional burden to others.
I have been working part time in The Body Shop for 1.5 years as a sales advisor. This job helps me to learn more about the retail industry and increase my knowledge of the marketing industry. Previously, I was with Tiong Nam Logistics as an admin staff before I entered Poly. Since it was an office job, I had to quit that job as the working hours would clash with my studies. As I am working in the retail industry now, my working hours are more flexible and I would work whenever I do not have night lessons or CCAs.

I'm really into multi toned lenses without the black rim design lately because of my mode-phase! I was dying to try out these lenses when Cosme Eyes stocked these! I couldn't decide between the lake grey and caramel brown so I ended up buying one and Cosme Eyes kindly sponsored me the other!
Today I'm just going to review the Lake Grey because I haven't opened the Caramel Brown yet. I have too many lenses opened at the moment >__< Going to wait til some of my current ones expires before I open new lenses.
Hyper has always been one of my fav contact lenses brand because of their high quality and comfort!
The 4 tones are grey, blue, peach and.. a bit of purple?
I love matching grey lenses with dark eye make up!
Wearing my Murua 3 Way top in White from Sakura Dreams
I love how these lenses make your eyes look watery and sparkly.
I've always been self conscious about my lips and if you have been following my blog for a while, you might have noticed that I always kept my lip colour quite light or even nude. I dunno why that night I decided to be bold and tried on bright red lipstick! Luckily it turned out quite well ^__^ Definitely going to wear red lipstick more often in the future!
I think these lenses look really good with red lips =)
Comfort:
❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤/5
I've been wearing contact lenses from the Hyper brand for 4-5 years now and counting! Definitely the one of most comfortable contact lenses brand out there!
Design:
❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤/5
I love the colour and the design! Really rarely come across 4-toned lenses! I really can't wait to try the caramel brown! All the other colours look really interesting too!
Enlargement:
❤ ❤ ❤ ❤/5
Really good enlargement effect! But actually, I think I would prefer them to be slightly smaller. I think 14.5mm would be ideal!
Overall, I love these lenses! The 4 tone colour design is really unique and they are my go to lenses now when I go partying! Hehehe =)
Hope you all found the review useful!

Behind and in front of the camera ❤
Oh wow, I haven't written a proper post for more than a month! I'm so sorry for neglecting my blog, I've just been really busy with my personal life, especially now because I just started my new full time job!
A lot has been happening since I came back to Perth and I'm happy to say I've officially settled down! I took a make up course last year in April and after I received my certificate I left for Malaysia. I was really lucky when I came back to Perth and found a temp job almost straight away as a make up artist at a photo studio - Image Style Studio.
I got involved behind the scenes on some modelling shoots with photographers and professional models and I even got in front of the camera and did some modelling myself!
Behind the scenes.....
Setting up my station!
My work area!
Camwhoring before clients arrived =P
One of the photo studios~
Another day at work with some of my clients after I did their make up!
It's such a great feeling of accomplishment when I see that the clients are happy with my work ^__^ I had a lot of fun meeting and chatting with clients from all walks of life, hearing about their life stories etc. It was a great couple of weeks and it didn't feel like work at all because I had so much fun!
My MAC Haul for my make up kit~
My brush set <3
Pouch from Sigma ^__^ Brushes are from MAC, Napoleon and Sigma
Then I assisted my friends behind the scenes with professional models and helped style their hair!
Photographer is the talented Khenny C
All the models I worked with are sooo friendly and not to mention good looking! I had a lot of fun working behind the scenes!
Here's a photo of me with the "crew" ^__^ Models, photographer, hair stylist and make up artist ^_^
And then I got in front of the camera and did some modelling myself ^__^
All the photos are edited by the photographers themselves and I did not edit them at all, so all the photos are 100% their work!
Modelled for a friend's make up portfolio for the gyaru look =)
Make up and Hair by Jess Ferrelli
Photographer Christine K
Lashes were Dolly wink no. 10 (top) and no. 14 (bottom)
And then my boss from Image Style Studio asked me to model for Camera Club which is their photography club/work shop
The theme was Geisha
Make up by Me!
Yay, I finally had a chance to wear my yukata that I bought in Japan in 2008! I never had a chance to wear it til that day! One day I want to wear it to Tokyo Disneyland in Summer or to a hanami or a Japanese festival >__<
My hair looks really red because I dyed it the day before!
Photos below are taken by John Merl
He asked me to pose like this because he wanted to take photos of my colourful toenails hahaha
Nail polish is Tsubasa's Dolly Wink
And then he wanted me to pose with my blinged camera because it matched my yukata haha!
The photos below are taken by Robin Kennedy
My Best Friend was the other model
Really love this photo and it shows my make up pretty well ^__^
And the photos below are taken by Ross Wilson
His photos turned out really good and he sent me heaps =D
Really love the colour effects he uses ^__^
Yep I even bought matching fans and hair accessories in Japan ^_^
This is one of my fav!
The End~~~
Please help support me and like my make up Facebook page and if you are from Perth and is looking for a make up artist for bridal or any other reason, feel free to contact me ^_^
Hope you guys enjoyed my mini adventure in the photography and make up artist world! It was short but sweet and it was so much fun!
