Jill Stuart just released a Dreamy Garden Collection featuring two limited edition colours of the Jewel Crystal Eyes which comes in gorgeous cases with pretty floral designs! Apparently a lot of people want to get their hands on the 102 Amazonite dazzle because this shade is quite different to all the other pinks and purples that are normally in the Jill Stuart eyeshadow range.
See the words *while stock lasts and *limited? Hahah get you sucked in doesn't it! Well it certainly sucked me in =__= Since it's *limited* and ultra sought after I feel like I must have it -.- Typical women haha Luckily my friend is in Hong Kong right now and the exchange rate is awesome so he bought it for me! Yay! I'll post photos and swatches once I have the real thing! For now you can look at these photos credits to the official JS website.
I think the colours look really gorgeous and I really hope it will be pigmented. I have the Jewel Crystal eyes in princess sapphire and I find the purple and peach is not very pigmented. Will definitely do a review on this asap!
I also asked my friend to get me this! Maquillage compact foundation which has just been released this month! I don't know if this is limited edition or not but I got sucked in by the casing! I will post pictures once I get that too!
I'm super excited!
Ok onto my review! I'm doing this review because my friend requested it and also it's my favourite Jill Stuart product so far so I really want to share this product with you all!
Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Colour - 09 Midnight Shine
Photos from official website
This colour is actually 08 crystal sky which my friend has and I've tried this colour also. It's more of a light purple colour, quite pretty but I like the midnight shine more!
12 out of the 13 colours available in Jelly Eye Colour - there was actually one more colour but I was too lazy to put it here
09 Midnight shine
Swatch - you can tell from this swatch that it's super pigmented which is what I love the most about this product! Plus it's super glittery and it's perfect for a glamourous night make up.
Me wearing Midnight Shine, eyelashes are Eyemazing 001
What I love about this product:
I love the colour and how it's super pigmented and very glittery! You just need to put a tiny bit on your fingers and you basically can cover the entire eyelid so you can get a LOT of wear out of one jar!
What I don't like about this product:
You can't really blend this with other eyeshadow because it's in a jelly/wet form so you can only wear it by itself or on top of other eyeshadows. But it end up covering that eyeshadow colour anyway so basically this product is not very flexible.
Also it's quite hard to get your hand on this or any Jill Stuart make up if you are not in Asia since they only have counters in Hk, Taiwan or Japan. I'm not sure if they have JS counters anywhere else..
Overall:
I picked this colour because it's really unique compared to the other colours available. Two of my friends tried this and they both loved it! I bought this product because I've never tried anything like this before so I was curious and also I got sucked in by the adorable packaging like I do with all other JS products! lol
I totally recommend this product and it's not very pricey either! 170hkd which works out to be roughly 20aud!
Hope you found all that helpful and below are some camwhore shots from Saturday night! You can't really see much of the Jelly Eye Colour when my eyes are open because I didn't build it that far up my eyelid but the Midnight shine creates a really awesome smokey eye look ^__^
Outfit shot!
If you have any questions about this product drop me a comment ^__^
