The City on Water >>> Venice

If I have to choose between Rome and Venice... well I really can't because I love both cities equally!! Took over 400 photos again that day!! So hard for me to blog because I have to pick like 50-60 nice pictures out of 400!!! That's a really hard job >.<

So this is the view after getting out of the Venice train station!! We were blessed with another sunny day!

Behind us is the train station!! Why are all the buildings in Italy so nice!!! Even the train station is sooo damn nice omgg!

Famous Venice canals

Teehee look! A gondola!

Guess what I'm looking at? I've noticed that Italians really love to take their dogs out everywhere! To shops, restaurants etc! See where the people are seated? That's where we went next!!

Remember this place if you ever visit Venice!

The vanilla slice was soooo yummy and it only costed 1 euro!!!

Ahhh it was such a nice feeling just to sit by the canals enjoying a cup of coffee and dessert! This area was really quiet and peaceful!

Mmmm My one euro vanilla slice of heaven!! =P

Then we headed off, exploring the rest of Venice!

There was a lot of little narrow streets with shops here and there. This area was still really quiet.

This is where I bought my murano glass charm and Italy charm for my pandora bracelet ^__^

Baccio chocolates!!! We bought heaps since they don't sell them in Malaysia.

Check out those huge chocolate bars!!

Behind me is the Grand canal!

I really like this picture! If only there weren't all those sticks =(

Look how cute the chillis are bunched together! Look like flowers
If you watched the movie The Tourist, this is the market where Johnny Depp falls into when he was being chased for the first time by the bad guys!

Famous Rialto bridge!

View of the Grand Canal from the Rialto bridge!

A random souvenir stall! Not where I bought my masks though. I was too busy trying to pick which masks I wanted to buy so didn't have time to take photos of the shops. But omg there was sooo many gorgeous masks to choose from and they were only 10-20euros!!

I took a picture of this window display because I thought it was reallly pretty!

And then we arrived at Piazza san Marco - St Mark's Square

The Square was huge and there was so many people there!

St Mark's Basilica

Taking photos with my newly bought mask while lining up to go inside the Basilica

Inside the Basilica~ Again, entrance was free ^__^

I think we weren't suppose to take photos so that's why we hastily took some photos and therefore the picture turned out to be blurry =( However, I quite like the picture so I decided to put it up anyway =P

Outside in the Piazza again~ Just love the backdrop!

And guess what?! It's gondola time!!!

Gondola service!!

Because they were all covered with blue cloth the gondolas don't look very nice >__<

Before stepping into our gondola~

It was a pretty hectic ride because we took a LOT of photos during the gondola ride and I think the gondolier was really concerned we would tip the boat from all the moving around!! LOL

This was one of my fav photos from the gondola ride even though my eyes were half closed from the Sun's glare fml >__<

Taking photos with my new masks~~ Teehee!! A lot of other tourists started taking photos of us because we were wearing the masks =P

I think that was Mozart's house...Well we did pass it and the gondolier pointed it out to us and I snapped a picture but wasn't sure if this was the one since all the buildings kinda look the same lol @.@

Rowing past the Rialto bridge!

This was a really nice photo too!

Some people chilling out at the steps in front of a super pretty building

I thought this gondola was super pretty!! Even had flowers!!

My bf pretending to be a high roller loool and Me and the mum was posing as his escorts expecting to receive tips LOL

As we were nearing the dock we decided to just sit back and actually enjoy the gondola ride haha

Outside Hotel Danieli where The Tourist was filmed!

And inside!! Omg was sooo pretty!!

The roses were real and soo nice!!

And then we had lunch before leaving Venice!!

The Pizza and ice cream are esp good in Venice!!

And that was my day in Venice!!! Such a beautiful city!! It was a really relaxing and fun place to visit!

Hope you enjoyed this post!! Coming up next is Monaco~~ Monte Carlo and Cannes!!

Hope you guys are not getting bored of these posts~ bear with me! We are almost at the end! Lol

  6. -sheepishly shuffles in-

YUKI! I'm sorry for always posting late! :( I read your post but just never had time to post a meaningful comment for you >__< I also didn't want you to think I'm only now running back here since you posted up your giveaway >_< I'm SO behind on comments and been trying my hardest to get the long comments down so I can breathe HAHA. I refuse to not give you my loveee LOL <33

I must say, this post really inspires me the most out of your trip posts!! It just looks so much more.... lively? I mean, there's tons of people and things happening in your last posts of course, but Venice I guess just has this magically element to it, even in photos! Like, I really want to go there now!!

I can't blame you for taking so many pictures! I'd kill myself if I didn't take a picture of everything. It's the worst when you come home or go back to your hotel and realize how much regret you're holding on to now since you didn't take that picture because you knew you'd get strange looks for it HAHA! *cough*

Jeez, not only sunny, but GORGEOUS!! *______* Actually, how was the weather there?? Is it hot or cold or just right? It seems you still need a jacket, but you guys still looked comfortably dressed! ^^ Oh not to mention STYLISH, JEEZ!!! <3

Maybe that's it. The canals! I want to visit there so much!! It just looks so beautiful and really magical... a city on water... I really just can't stop looking at the photo of you standing in front of the canals! I want to be there too >_< What kind of dogs did you see there?? Were they mostly small adorable fluffies?? I love dogs so I have to ask XDD

That's the dream right there. Sitting outside a Venice cafe, sipping tea, eating desserts, taking in your surroundings and watching passersby go about their lives. Okay, that last part sounded creepy but you know what I mean! XD I can't believe that vanilla slice only cost 1 euro!! I can only imagine how much they'd charge for something like that here... -shudders- loll

I've never heard of those chocolates before! Have you had them before? Or were they just too delicious not to bring back with you?? :D

Such cute pictures of everyone eek! <3 I love how the water actually looks green but still pretty HAHA! :'D

Ohhh I still need to watch The Tourist! That's so cool you're at the same marketplace!! :OO I'd be such a creeper walking around like "Johnny Depp was here... and here.... he touched this chair..." -strokes chair- LOLL JK!

OMGG the bridge... fantastic piece of art!! I admit, I've never heard of it, but I'm glad to see a picture of it, it's gorgeous! And the view from it is equally stunning >_< Guhhh you're so lucky Yuki!! <3

OMG I WANT THE RED JESTER MASK ON THE BOTTOM CORNER LIKEOMGGGG!!! Now I need to get my ass over to Venice just to buy that mask!! XDD I seriously love it!! *____*

Ohhhhhh the jewelry.... soo gorgeous!! I love the way they displayed it. Even if it's not expensive, they sure make it look like it is! -Which is probably is of course- but just saying... X'D

Did you prefer the quiet shop alleys or the bustling streets of St Mark's Square?? I think I just love being a tourist so I'd probably prefer the big open squares! But I think it can get a bit overwhelming too after a while :X

I love the mask you chose!! Super elegant and matches you perfectly Yuki! <3

I don't mind blurry pictures! It's better than not being able to see it at all ^___^ Thanks for sharing! You look super adorable btw <33

HAHAHA poor gondolier! I guess that's part of the job though XDD I wonder how many people do that though, poor guy's going to die of a heart attack if he doesn't get used to it! :P

  7. Awww you look cute even if your eyes are partially closed! You don't want to see me like that, I look drunk LOLL You guys are SOOO cute! <3
HAHAHA that's awesome people taking pictures of you guys!!

Oh wow, you even got to see Mozart's home... that's so incredible!! I wonder if it's blocked off or turned into a museum or something? (LOL) I just really want to know what it looks like inside! XD

Awwww cute photo of you two again! I love the lighting, it's quite angelic <333

    I want to go on a gondola ride now... ; 3;

Gosh, MORE TOURIST!! I really gotta see this movie now! It'll be funny because I'll be like "THAT'S WHERE YUKI WAS!!" XDD My god, it's gorgeoussss inside!! Eeek the roses are beautiful! I can't believe they're real T___T

The pasta in the last picture looks SOOO effing good!!! I feel disgusting looking at these pictures after just eating cereal LOL I need some real food!! <3

OMG suuuuuper looking forward to your next post! They seriously just get better and better <3 I'm definitely not bored of your photos, Yuki! It just takes me a while to post! Bear with me as well!! <333

  9. oh wow that is prob the longest comment from you EVER! omg <333 hhahaha

that's ok babe I'm just so touched and happy when u leave me these long as comments its like wow! u basically replied to everything I said in the post! hahaha

Glad u enjoyed the venice pics! The weather was perfect!! It's around 20 degrees Celsius and sometimes the wind is a bit cold but it's like really nice autumn weather!

I saw a lot of diff kind of dogs but i think most of them are small dogs but not really sure not he breed cos most of them just had scruffy fur which is so cute

Yeh it was really nice to sit by the canal enjoying the sweets and coffee ^__^

Yep I had those chocolates in Australia before. I think they sold them in supermarkets but now they've stopped but u can still find them at italian ice cream shops at like 1 or 2 aud per piece I cant rmb but yeh that's why I know they are nice but my bf's mum never heard of it so I guess they are not sold in Malaysia so she bought a lot back as gifts and also for ourselves hehehe

Omgg u HAVE to watch the tourist! The reviews aren't that good but I personally really enjoyed it cos I love angelina movies and of course love Johnny Depp hehe

I liked both! I loved the quiet alleyways and the area where I had the vanilla slice but then it was really nice to be at a place with a lot of people because you feel really excited to be there hahaha

Mozart's home just looked like normal so it wasn't that exciting! We were too excited just to take photos from every possible angle during the gondola ride that we didn't care much about the buildings we passed hahaha!

Yep the pastas and pizza was really good but we get a bit sick of it eating it everyday so we try to find chinese restaurant at every possible chance during our trip in Italy heheheh!

    xoxo
